“In content and in style, I paint no different than I live. By observing nature’s constant regenerative cycle from birth to death, my work attempts to understand that mysterious energy. Still, in my analysis of human nature is a need for self-regulation. My biomorphic forms may reveal freedom, but the geometric shapes expose structure, making the space I create almost tangible. I believe the circle is the simplest, most common yet universal shape. Still, the dichotomy of a single curve—its beginning its end—invests a within and without, a fullness and an emptiness, a resonance and conflict. The layering of planes evokes a rhythm that is somewhat meditative, somewhat musical.”
