'My current series, the Dance Series, evolved from the colors of the canyon sides I see through my studio window, to design elements that have been shaped by my formal art education. The turned form provides a focus for me... the wood contributes its own character, and I find the execution and transformation of surface mesmerizing. The carving has a therapeutic quality. The intricate surfaces are intended to draw the viewer in and create a dialogue. The circle in all its forms, turned and carved, reflects the patterns of our lives and world."
